About Me

My name is Marcus Ryan, and I am in my final year of a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Economics at Macquarie University.

For me, growing up in Regional New South Wales is one of my most significant advantages, as it has shaped my outlook and values in meaningful ways. It has instilled in me a strong sense of community, a grounded work ethic, and a genuine appreciation for building and maintaining relationships.

Leadership & Extracurricular

Leadership has been a consistent theme throughout my schooling and university years. In both Year 6 and Year 12 I had the privilege to serve as School Captain, experiences that strengthened my communication, organisation, and cooperation with others.

Outside of academics, I am actively involved in Swimming and Water Polo, which have developed my resilience, teamwork, and commitment to continuous improvement. These experiences have collectively shaped my leadership style, grounded, collaborative, and driven by a desire to contribute positively to my community.

In 2020, I started a small business, Marcus. R Woodworks, a small business that recycles pallets and turns them into serving boards. A venture that taught me valuable lessons in initiative, responsibility, and customer relationships.
